Medal was instituted on 7 June 2021.
Medal is awarded to citizens of Turkmenistan and foreigners for many years of conscientious work in the name of strengthening the state independence and sovereignty of Turkmenistan, fruitful and effective state and public activities, as well as for a great personal contribution to strengthening the authority of the Fatherland in the international arena throughout the world.
