Coast Guard Exemplary Service Medal

• Medal was instituted on 14 March 1991.
• Medal is awarded to employees who have completed 20 years of service with an approved occupational group of the Canadian Coast Guard or with an organization supporting the Coast Guard, 10 years of which have been served in the performance of duties involving potential risk.
• A bar, bearing a maple leaf in silver, is given for each additional 10 years served.
