• Medal instituted in 1930.
• Medal awarded to lower rank of civil servants, municipality employees and warrant officers for meritorious service.
• Medal awarded in three classes: 1st Class - gold medal for 25 years of service; 2nd Class - silver medal for 15 years of service and 3rd Class - bronze medal for 5 years of service.
• Medal was reinstated in 1995 in three classes, and in 2002 in single class (the design was modernized).
