Academic Merit Medal

GTM023  Medalla de Mérito Académico

• Medal is awarded to officers of the Guatemalan Army who, through their dedication, sacrifice, effort, and intelligence, obtained first place in their graduating class or group of students in postgraduate courses, whether these were undertaken at national or foreign institutions.
• Medal comprises three classes: Basic Arms or Service Course, in copper (Básico de Armas o Servicio), Advanced Arms Course, in silver (Avanzado de Arma), and Command and General Staff Course, in gold (Comando y Estado Mayor).
