Order was instituted on 13 April 1995.
Order is awarded to the military of the Republic of Belarus in recognition of: outstanding achievements in managing troops, maintaining their high combat readiness and professional training; bravery and selflessness in protecting the Fatherland and its state interests, in the execution of other service duties; contribution to enhancing comradeship-in-arms and military cooperation with foreign states.
