Commemorative Medal for the Paraguay Campaign

Medal was instituted on 18 December 1890. Design of the medal was established by Decree of 4 April 1891.
Medal was awarded to officers and soldiers of the allied armies of Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay, taking part in the war with Paraguay.
Medal was awarded in three classes: gold, silver and bronze.
War of the Triple Alliance - was a South American war between Paraguay and the Triple Alliance of Argentina, the Empire of Brazil and Uruguay.
