Order of Defence Merit

BRA052 Ordem do Mérito da Defesa

Order was instituted by Decree 4263 of 10 June 2002.
Order is awarded to members of the Brazilian Military and the armies of friendly nations as well as civilians for distinguished service and exceptional contributions to Brazil.
Order is awarded in five grades: Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer and Knight.
