Medal for Ingavi

BOL031 Medalla por Ingavi

Medal was instituted in 1841 in recognition of General José Ballivián and the troops, who defended Bolivia from an invasion attempt of the Peruvian president Agustín Gamarra on 18 November 1841.
There are three types of this medal.
Battle of Ingavi - was a military confrontation between Bolivian Army commanded by Jose Ballivian and Peruvian Army commanded by Agustín Gamarra.
