Order instituted by Decree No. 8506/46 of 1946.
Order awarded to Argentinian and foreign officials and military personnel in recognition of meritorious service to the Argentinian nation.
Order awarded in five grades: Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer and Knight.
Order was abolished in 1957.
