ARG005 Orden de Mayo Al Mérito Naval

Order instituted by Decree No. 16.629 on 17 December 1957.
Order awarded to Argentinian and foreign military personnel in recognition of meritorious contributions to Argentinian Navy.
Order awarded in five grades: Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer and Knight. The Grand Cross grade is called Gran Almirante Guillermo Brown.
Grand Cross Star have two types: with blue and with white enamel.
William Brown - was an Irish-born Argentine admiral.
