Distinction of the 19th of April

Distinction was instituted by Decree-Law No.53 of 27 March 1982.
Distinction is awarded to members of the Ministry of the Interior, who participatedin the actions carried out against the internal and external enemies, on Playa Giron.
Bay of Pigs Invasion - was a failed landing operation on the southwestern coast of Cuba on 17–20 April 1961.
