Order awarded to Brazilian and foreign individuals who have contributed exceptional services to the nation of Brazil, particularly the Legislative Power and the Brazilian National Congress.
Order awarded in six grades: Collar, Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer and Knight.
