Order of Merit

QAT002 وسام الاستحقاق

Order was instituted by Law No.5 of 1975 and complement by Law No.5 of 30 May 1978.
Order is awarded for services to the State of Qatar, to Arabs, or to humanity.
Order is awarded in two superior classes: Collar of Merit (awarded to Deputy Heads of State and Vice-Presidents, etc.); Sash of Merit ( awarded to Ambassadors and Ministers of State, etc.) and five ordinary classes.
