Medal instituted by Ordinance No.219 of 14 March 2016.
Medal awarded to distinguish citizens and civil institutions, Brazilian or foreign, foreign military, members of the Brazilian Navy, the Brazilian Air Force and the Auxiliary Force, as well as their military organizations for outstanding action or relevant service in the interest and good name of the Brazilian Army.
Medal awarded in three classes: Banner Insignia Class (Insígnia de Bandeira) to honor military organizations and civil institutions, Military (Militar) for military personnel and Female Civil (Civil Feminina) for rewarding civil female.
