Police Cross for Bravery
- Decoration instituted on 20 May 1963.
- Decoration awarded to all ranks of the South African Police, for conspicuous and exceptional bravery in the execution of duties, or in protecting or saving life or property.
- In 1989, the decoration was divided into three classes: Cross for Bravery Gold - for outstanding bravery while in extreme danger, Cross for Bravery Silver - for exceptional bravery while in great danger, Cross for Bravery - for bravery while in danger.
