Defence force Medal of Honour for Meritorious Service

Medal instituted on 16 October 1970.
Medal awarded to officers and soldiers who have performed distinguished service or have displayed distinguished conduct or bravery.
Medal have II classes: silver gilt for commissioned officers and silver for other ranks.
A bar may be added for any additional meritorious service, and a rose on ribbon shall denote a bar.
