Order of Julio Antonio Mella

Order was instituted by Decree-Law No.30 of 10 December 1979.
Order is awarded to young Cuban and foreign citizens for outstanding achievements in work, study, research, art and sports, as well as for contributions to the struggle for the rights of youth.
Julio Antonio Mella - was an activist and is known as one of the founders of the "internationalized" Cuban Communist Party.
