Order instituted by Decree 24660 of 11 July 1934.
Order awarded to members of the Brazilian Army and the armies of friendly nations who contributed significantly to the National Brazilian Army through exceptional services.
Order awarded in five grades: Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer and Knight.
There are two types of the order.
