Medal was instituted on 4 August 2014.
Medal was awarded to military and civilian personnel of the Security Service of the President of the Republic of Belarus for exemplary performance of official duties; veterans of the Security Service, officials of state bodies and other organizations of the Republic of Belarus, other states, other persons for a significant contribution to the development and improvement of activities in the field of state security, organization of interaction between state bodies and other organizations with the Security Service.
