Medal was instituted in 1925.
Medal was awarded police officers for 15 years of active service.
Medal was replaced in 1934 by the Colonial Police Long Service Medal.
Medal was re-established in 1950.
Medal was awarded to police officers for 18 years of impeccable service. Bars for 25 and 30 years of service were also awarded.
