Decoration instituted on 9 September 1833 by King William II.
Decoration awarded to the military mans of the kingdom for their faithful service. Since 1839, military officials could also have been awarded.
Decoration was awarded in two classes. The first class is for officers, for 25 years of faithful service. The second class is for soldiers, for 20 years of faithful service.
