  • King James I of England established the hereditary Order of Baronets in England on 22 May 1611.
  • Badge worn by holders of the hereditary title of Baronet.
  • There are five variations of the badge: Baronets of Nova Scotia (with the Arms of Nova Scotia), Baronets of England (with a border of roses), Baronets of Ireland (with a border of shamrocks), Baronets of Great Britain (with a border of thistles and roses) and Baronets of the United Kingdom (with a border of roses, shamrocks, and thistles).
