- Medal was instituted on 3 February 1941.
- Medal is awarded to soldiers, police officers, military units and those who carry out their duties as soldiers or police officers for bravely against the enemy.
- Medal is awarded in two classes: Bravery Medal with Wreath and Bravery Medal.
