Medal for Workers and Servants

GBN016 Medaille für Arbeiter und Dienstboten

Medal was instituted by Grand Duke Friedrich I on 11 November 1895.
Medal was awarded to workers or employees who had a clean service of at least 30 years in one and the same employment and who were true to their duty and attitude towards the Grand Duke and the Fatherland.
There are III types of the medal: I type - dark bronze medal with an inscription “Grosherzog” (1896-1907); II type - dark bronze medal with an inscription “Grossherzog” (1908-1916); III type - iron with copper finish medal with an inscription “Grosherzog” (1916-1918).
