National Order of Jose Matias Delgado

SLV001 Orden Nacional José Matías Delgado

Order was instituted on 29 August 1946.
Order is awarded to Salvadoran citizens or foreigners who are distinguished by eminent services to the country through extraordinary civil virtues which are humanitarian, scientific, literary, artistic, political, or military.
Order is awarded in six classes: Grand Cross with Gold Star, Grand Cross with Silver Star, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer and Knight.
José Matías Delgado - was a Salvadoran priest and doctor.
