Badge was instituted in 1994.
Badge is awarded to members of the Armed Forces who stood out in the armed opposition to the aggressor, contributed to the expansion of free parts of Bosnia-Herzegovina, committed several acts in which their personal courage and sacrifice were expressed, whereby the aggressor suffered significant losses in manpower and material resources.
