• Order is instituted on 18 June 2001.
• Order is awarded to citizens of Turkmenistan and foreigners for special merits in strengthening the sacred independence of Turkmenistan, the defense power and security of the state, strengthening the rule of law and law and order in the country, strengthening the international authority of Turkmenistan.
• Insignias of the Order have been changed on 8 February 2014.
