Landwehr Long Service Decoration

- Decoration was instituted by Grand Duke Friedrich I on 4 January 1877.
- Decoration was awarded to non-commissioned officers and military men of the Landwehr (homeland militia) who had taken part in at least one campaign or who had been called up to active service for at least 3 months for an extraordinary reason.
- In 1913, the decoration in the form of buckle was replaced by a medal.
