Order of the Star of Anjouan
Ordre de l'Étoile d'Anjouan
- Order instituted in 1874 by sultan Mohamed-Saïd-Omar of the Comoros island of Anjouan, reorganised on 18 June 1892 and authorised and recognised by the French government on 12 September 1896. Order became defunct on 3 December 1963 as far as the French were concerned but it may have continued to be awarded locally until Anjouan joined the independent Comoros in 1975.
