Hero of the People

The order was instituted on 9 July 1945, as the Order of National Hero.
Order modified in 1949, as the Order of Hero of the People, then, in 1954, as the honorary title of Hero of the People.
Order awarded to citizens for heroism on the battlefield, as well as for special services to the state or nation.
There are two types of order:
Type I (1945 - 1954 gg.) - round medallion with a picture of Skanderbeg.
Type II (1954 - 1990 gg.) - gold star.
