Order was instituted on 1 September 2007.
Order is awarded for outstanding services in strengthening the defense capability of the republic; for achievements in the implementation of military foreign policy for the development of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in peaceful conditions; for successful leadership in carrying out especially important state assignments in the field of protecting the republic; for special merits in the creation and management of bodies and troops of the Armed Forces of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, organization of operational combat and military operations for the defense and defense of the Fatherland; for especially outstanding services shown in the defense of the Fatherland.
Order is awarded in two classes.
