Solomon Islands Medal

On 17 March 1981 the Governor-General of the Solomon Islands Baddeley Devesi instituted the Order of the Solomon Islands. Order consisted of three separate awards: Star of the Solomon Islands, Cross of the Solomon Islands and Solomon Islands Medal.
Medal awarded to any Solomon Islander or expatriate for distinguished service.
Baddeley Devesi - the first Governor-General of the Solomon Islands.
