Commemorative Medal for the Defence of Slovakia

Medal was instituted on 8 May 1939.
Medal was awarded to servicemen and civilians of Slovakia for merits during the armed conflict in March 1939 on the Slovak-Hungarian border during the creation of the independent Slovak Republic. After the conflict with Poland in September of the same year, the medal was also awarded to the participants in this conflict.
