Decoration instituted by Law 7 of 1985 and amended by Law 11 of 24 March 1997.
Decoration awarded to athletes who individually or collectively obtain a gold, silver or bronze medal in world championships or in regional and continental competitions.
Decoration awarded in three classes: Commander, Grand Master and Knight.
