Police Medal for Gallantry

Medal instituted on 4 April 1957.
Medal awarded to all ranks of the police in the territories of Pakistan and the acceding States for extraordinary gallantry in saving life and property, or in preventing crime or arresting criminals, the risks incurred being estimated with due regard to the obligations and duties of the officer concerned.
