МЕДАЛЬ ЗА ОТВАГУ The award was instituted on 19 August 1955 and amended on 10 October 1969 and 26 August 1977 to be awarded for acts of bravery. José Trinidad Cabañas (1805-1871) fought in the independence war of the 1820s and was President of Honduras from 1852 to 1855 before being overthrown in a coup. He fled to El Salvador, serving in the government and as head of the National Congress.           Источник:
