Armed Forces Medal for International Operations
NOR000 Forsvarets Medalje for Internasjonale Operasjoner
- Medal was instituted on 9 October 2000. In 2009 was added the "Medal with Laurel Branch in Gold" as decoration for courage and bravery, but this class was abolished in 2011.
- Medal is awarded to civilians and military for overseas service of at least 3 months.
- Medal is only awarded to the same person once. If someone has a longer service than the minimum requirement, fitted one silvered star each for further service in 15, 30 and 45 months to the ribbon. If anyone has service of 60 months' duration, fitted a silver laurel branch to the ribbon.
