Medal of Victory at Khalkhin Gol

Medal is instituted on 19 March 1979 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the defeat by the Mongolian and Soviet troops of the Japanese militarists who invaded the Mongolian People's Republic in the Khalkhin-Gol River region.
Medal is awarded to persons who directly participated in the hostilities on the Khalkhin-Gol River, as well as those who, with their selfless labor, provided concrete and effective assistance in defeating the Japanese invaders.
