Medal for Distinction in Guarding the State Border

KAZ035 «Мемлекеттік шекараны күзетудегі ерекшелік үшін» медалі

Medal was instituted on 27 May 2002. By Decree No. 155 of 30 September 2011, changes were made to the description of the medal.
Medal is awarded to military personnel of the national security agencies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as citizens (including foreign nationals), for: bravery and dedication demonstrated in combat operations with sabotage and reconnaissance groups during the apprehension of violators of the state border of the Republic of Kazakhstan; skillful leadership of border patrol combat operations in protecting the inviolability of the border of the Republic of Kazakhstan; high vigilance and proactive actions resulting in the apprehension of violators of the state border; skillful organization of the border service and exemplary work in strengthening the state borders of the Republic of Kazakhstan; contribution to strengthening the state borders of the Republic of Kazakhstan; impeccable service in protecting the state border of the Republic of Kazakhstan; active assistance to Border Service units and formations in their combat service activities in protecting the state borders of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
