GME002 Greifenorden

Order was instituted by Grand Duke Friedrich Franz III on 15 September 1884. In August 1904, the Order was extended to citizens of the Grand Duchy of Mecklenburg-Strelitz.
Order was awarded to citizens for outstanding service to the public.
Order was awarded in five classes: Grand Cross, Commander's Cross, Honour Cross, Knight's Cross with Crown and Knight's Cross.
