Medal is instituted on 22 December 2014.
Medal is awarded to military servicemen of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia for brave actions during war and combat operations, for the qualities of a leader and for outstanding bravery in saving the life of a comrade.
Battle of Didgori - was fought between the armies of the Kingdom of Georgia and the Great Seljuq Empire.
