Order of Duke Trpimir

Order was instituted on 1 April 1995.
Order is awarded to Croatian and foreign ministerial level officials and others for merit in contributing to the independence, integrity and international reputation of the Republic of Croatia, the construction of Croatia, and development of relationships between Croatia and other countries.
Trpimir I of Croatia — was a duke (knez) of Croatia in 845–864, and the founder of the Croatian House of Trpimirović.
