Order of Operation Bokassa

Ordre de l'Opération Bokassa

Order instituted on 19 November 1970.
Order awarded to recognise meritorious service to the Republic in all domains but particularly development of the country.
On 4 December 1976, President Bokassa elevated himself to the title of Emperor and the inscription on the face of the Order was amended.
Order have five classes: Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer, and Knight.
